David Bounds is the oldest son of Frank and Debbie Bounds.  He graduated from Gauley Bridge High School in 1993.  He married Joan Keenan Bounds on December 19, 1998.  They have 3 children, Sasha, Shay & Theron. Pastor Bounds' call to the ministry began in 2002, when he felt called to preach God's word and to be a soul winner. In 2003, he became the youth pastor for the church.  In his first year of ministry, he taught 54 bible studies and saw more than 40 local youth added to the church in his tenure.  In his second year of ministry, during February 2004, at WV District Youth Congress in Morgantown, Evangelist Douglas White prophesied to him and his wife that a mantle would be passed to them within the next few weeks. Afterward, when his father revealed his burden for Salt Lake City, Utah, they both knew what God’s will was.  By June 2004, David Bounds had become the next full-time pastor of Glen Ferris Apostolic Church.

A lot has happened for Pastor David Bounds since becoming pastor.  He has become an ordained minister with the UPCI.  He has served as Section 5 WV District Youth Representative, WV District Youth Secretary, and he is currently serving as the WV District Youth President.   In missions work, he has become part of the A-Team for Malawi, Africa.  He has preached in overseas crusades in Blanty and Lilongwe, Africa, as well as in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he has seen many people healed and hundreds receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.  He is fully committed to continually doing God's work in our great community of Glen Ferris and its surroundings.
